Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Search text entered in a third-party search tool is sent to the provider operating that tool. Alamance County Court Docket does not keep a separate database of the search terms entered through those services.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a message is sent to the contact channel, it may be retained to respond or maintain the correspondence. It is not shared outside the operating organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Normal web operation may collect technical visit information, including an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, and time spent on a page.
- IP address and network information
- Browser, device, and operating-system details
- Page requests, referral source, and timestamps
- Basic visit and performance measurements
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies and analytics tools may be used to understand traffic and performance. Browser controls can limit cookies, though some functions may behave differently when they are disabled.
What We Do With This Data
Technical information is used to operate, secure, measure, and improve the resource and to route a search request to the selected provider.
- Maintain page delivery and service performance
- Diagnose technical faults and security issues
- Measure aggregate use and page performance
- Operate search and advertising integrations
No Court-Record Data on File
Alamance County Court Docket does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of court dockets or personal case records. Court case files and official copies remain with the Alamance County Clerk of Superior Court or the court that maintains the case. North Carolina’s Public Records Act and G.S. 7A-109 establish the public-access framework for Clerk records, subject to court-specific confidentiality statutes and rules. This resource is not a consumer reporting agency and does not create consumer reports.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes may be supplied by separate companies. Information entered into a partner tool is governed by that provider’s privacy policy, retention practices, and terms. Review those policies before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court, Clerk, state, or third-party services. Each outside service controls its own content and privacy practices. Advertising partners may also use their own technology to measure activity or deliver advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited technical information may be processed by service providers needed to run the resource or when law requires disclosure.
- Search providers that process a submitted query
- Analytics or hosting providers
- Advertising providers operating on a page
- Government or law-enforcement entities responding to valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information collected through normal operation. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Information believed to have been provided by a minor will be addressed when reported.
Your Data Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information held in connection with a direct message, subject to applicable law and recordkeeping needs. The North Carolina Public Records Act and G.S. 7A-109 address public court-record access, while court-specific confidentiality rules control restricted case material. They do not turn this private resource into a custodian of court files.
- Request a copy of direct-contact information retained about you
- Request correction of inaccurate direct-contact information
- Request deletion where retention is not required
- Limit certain optional data processing through browser controls
